The Devil's Nature

A snake is made in the image of the devil, similarly to how humans are made in the image of God. This is not to say that any particular snake is the devil, similarly to how not any particular person is God. Just that man is the physical form of God's image on earth. The snake is the image of the devil in a physical form on the planet.

The devil is defined by pride, perhaps the most cardinal of sins. In his beauty, iniquity was found in him. As he thought to himself he would ascend to God's throne. Consiquently, a third of the angels were deceived in Lucifer's rebellion, in the quest to overthrow God.

However God is omniscient, the devil is not. He betrayed allegiance to God, and fell. The story of the woman's whose son was being attempted to be eaten by the dragon in revelation, is symbolism to God coming in the flesh as Jesus Christ and the crucifixion culminating in the resurrection.

The devil since doomed could not conceive a holy God could be both just and merciful to sinners. However, because we repented of our ways and he promised Abraham his seed would bless the world. Christ our Savior became both the just and justifier for those that belive. Just, because sin was punished, justifier because grace was given to those who accepted the sacrifice, as God did by raising him from the dead.

The devil is merely a fallen angel but prideful enough to think he could be God. He hates mankind because we are made in the image of God. He wants to be God and uses the same deception on mankind.

We fell into sin because man wanted to be like God, but instead reversed the other of authority. It was God, then Adam, then Eve, then all the beasts in the field. That is why it was through one man sin enter the world, and it was through Christ Jesus that many would be made righteous.

Just like we have holy spirit, God the Father and the son. There is a trinity of evil the devil, the world and our own selfish desires. We must be vigilant for we are all sinners. We are occupied by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. So long as we love our lives more than God, the devil has us in our grip.

The devil tempts us by giving us what we already desire secretly. We fall when we give in to this sin nature but the holy Spirit through our lives sanctities us, and us we fight temptations our faith grows stronger. Jesus said resist the devil and he will flee, this the power bestowed upon believers. We have a spirit of power and not fear.

To summarize briefly the enemy wants to kill, steal and destroy. His time is coming and he will suffer for what he did against God's kingdom and God's children. Us much as he reminds us of our past, his future is bleak, he has no chance of salvation.
