"The Prosperity Gospel" Isn't The Gospel

Mainstream Christianity is under assault, both from within and without. Not only is the world increasingly secular and amoral, but there are wolves within sheep clothing within the Christian preachers themselves, teleevangelism is a large share within this.

This is what happens when a nation abandons it's scriptures, they are easily deceived by those who proclaim to speak the word of God. Many of these multimillionaire preachers, aren't necessarily serving the gospel. I don't think it was necessary for me to proclaim that, but it's just the truth.

The people that are not proclaiming the true gospel, avoid topics that are supposed to awake you from your sin. God states that we are all sinners. People like to believe that they are good.

The true gospel proclaims you are a sinner and you are depraved, and unlike what these motivational speakers in disguise as preachers. You have transgressions and you need to repent.

The true gospel is that God the son, came in the flesh as a man. Fulfilled the law as a man, and thus the concept of substitutionary atonement. We couldn't fulfill the law, the ten commandments, and Christ fulfilled the law, and the wages of sin is death. So Christ died and paid our debt.

Though just, Christ suffered for the unjust, so by the blood he shed in the cross we can be reconciled to God. God is just, and just like the flood, he punishes. You cannot save yourself, and for those that reject Christs sacrifice. They are already condemned, for they are not covered by the blood of Christ. Just like the Egyptians we'rent covered by the blood of the lamb, when God sent plagues to Egypt.

The true gospel is that you are a sinner and depraved, you need to repent and pray to be strong enough to overcome temptation and sin. Christ came to free us from sin and reconcile us to God, who we will deal within eternity. 

The so called prosperity gospel preaches that God's favor necessitates good health and material prosperity. Jesus himself being God in the flesh, did not concern himself with acquiring wealth.

Money is the God of a lot of people in the west, and unfortunately a lot have come to think that if they give money to the ministries, more will come back to them. Churches pay no taxes and a lot of celebrity prosperity preachers have questionable about how they aquired the wealth.

Having wealth is not a sin, however the obsessive pursuit of it makes it an idol. The gospel is not about God giving you money or miracles. It is about one of the trinity, the son came in the flesh, took the punishment on the tree on himself. For God so loved the world, that h gave his only begotten son.So whomever shall believe in him shall have eternal life.

The problem with the prosperity gospel is that it is focussed on this world. Christ told us that in this world, we will have suffering and the closer to God and Christ we become, might experience persecution. For the devil will assail you more, trying to make you lose your faith.

However we must remember the true gospel is about eternity with God. It is not primarily about prosperity on earth, which comes and goes. And just because you are sick and you may be poor, it doesnt mean you lack faith. God said in life you will have suffering, it teaches you not only humility but to rely on God. God did not say he will save you from your problems but will be with you through them all. 

The prosperity gospel of seeking material gain from God, misses the true beauty of the Gospel. The Messiah prophesied through many people through two thousand years, making multipla predictions about his particular life. Going as far as describing the nailing of his feet and hands thousands of years before Romans even created crucifixion. 

The true gospel is that through fulfilling the law as a man, he could rightfully substitute all of our sin as God and man on the cross. He is both the just and justifier of all that believe. Stop sending money to preachers who are millionaires and please read your Bible. 

The prosperity gospel is not the true gospel, that saves sinners. We are all going to die, our eternal destination matters more than material accumulation of wealth, that we can't even take with us. This life is temporary.

We are save by Grace alone, no amount of money can earn you God's favor. Unlike the prosperity gospel, God doesn't need anything; he doesn't need you money. Give out of generosity. The prosperity gospel has people believing God owes them, or call it a harvest, because they have some celebrity pastor money.

It is sad because God does his will, and won't be manipulated by men and he doesn't care about their money, for everything is his. We are just guardians and benefitiaries of his grace. The beauty is God the Creator of the universe does not need us, but is both merciful and just.

 The cross is the intersection between justice and mercy. Justice because the sinless man, took the punishment of death for our sins. He is also God the son, the death of Gods son was sufficient payment for all sin.

God is an eternal God, so hell is eternal, because it is against an eternal God. Only Christ and the cross can save you, repent and pray to God to overcome the slavery of your sin. Don't fall prey to the prosperity gospel. God gave us his son for all of our sin.

They used to sacrifice animals for the people of Israels sin, the priest would sacrifice a lamb for the sins of the people. Abraham almost sacrificed his son, but God sent him a lamb. God actually sacrificed his son so that we may be forgiven, and have an eternal relationship with our Creator. He is the lamb for us all. The old testament not only prophesied Christ, but foreshadows God's plans.

This the beauty of the true gospel, it is about love, forgiveness and salvation. Not wealth, and cars, mansions, limousines as modern preachers have come to embellish. It is not certain which Jesus these property gospel preachers represent, but it certainly is not the poor child born in a manger, and raised by a carpenter. Never held political office, despite being whom the universe was created by and for.
