Clarifying Confusion In Christianity And Science
There's lots of things people believe that has misconstrued their understanding of Christianity. I find it critical we examine them and dismiss them; before they cause more to walk away or cause them to hate God or abandon scripture.
One of the most prominent thoughts, is that God and the Devil are adversaries and are almost equally matched. However you can't even compare. For one the devil is just an angel among countless multitudes. Michael defeated him, another Angel.
Lucifer convinced a third of the Angels to rebel against God's. Demons are real, these are the demons. They desire, we go to hell as a punishment with them, for keeping on disobeying God. We have Jesus Christ, they have no hope of salvation. The devil is not the chief of hell, he will be the chief prisoner.
We don't go to hell because God rejects us, but we go to hell because we reject God. Most of us reject God because out of pride. We are unwilling to put down the self, carry our cross and follow him. People think they have to change first, then accept Christ, but the reality is, we accept Christ then he changes us. Just remember, God loved us first, while we were still sinners.
People ask why is hell eternal? Because it is not just a sin, it's an offense against an Eternal God. God is a Just God, but he is also merciful, sometimes evil people are successful by worldly standards, but will pay their dues in the next.
God knows we couldn't fulfill the law, thus God the son, was sacrificed on the cross and it fulfilled God's wrath, against the sinners that believed Christ sacrifice. It took God to be man, in order that he could pay for all of our sins having being a man, and give salvation to true believers as being God. The word became flesh and dwelt among us. God spoke the universe into existence, the word created the universe.
Another major misconception in Christianity. Is that as believers we would not encounter any forms of suffering in this world or won't endure any sickness or adversity, it is simply a question of faith but the challenge like Job faced, was to be faithful to God despite our circumstances not because he has blessed us.
A major misconception is that Christians are anti scientific which is ridiculous. As a matter of fact, the primary founder of physics that has given us the mathematics behind the law of the universe. Began with the supposition that the universe was created by an intelligent being and thus could be intelligible to mankind, as we are made in his image. Isaac Newton was a Christian.
People believe further more that science and faith could not coexist. I already established that the founder of physics was a Christian. Question is, if all this just happened by chance as a result of nothing intelligent. Why would the universe be mathematical in structure? Why does the universe have order instead of none? How do nanosized engines exist in microbes to propel them? Most importantly how did D.N.A the most complex code that tells cells how build bodies appear? Their must have been an intelligent designer, we would rather honor him as God.
The law of thermodynamics states things decay or disintegrate unless new energy is added, systems disintegrate but yet we still have order in our universe. Well, it's because God is still at work in our world and because of the entrance of sin; everything has a perpetual tendency to disintegrate, if more energy is not applied to it. The world is in a fallen state, we all can look into our hearts and see the fallen state of the world.
People have come to believe denying macro evolution and accepting creationism is untenable. By macro evolution I mean from microbes to man evolution, not creatures merely adapting.Well to each their kind, animals only give birth to ones of their own nature. We don't deny that animals adapt, but simply fish or bacteria even if given a billion years won't become a person.
We primarily see species going extinct, not appearing just like it would be if they were created, and now are merely diminishing. Seeing extinction is primary, it is difficult to argue evolution gave life to all these life forms. We are not arguing animals don't adapt, just that microbes couldnt become man, no matter the window of time. Throwing large scales of times at fossils, does not explain their complexity.
Some would argue what about the fossils? Well great graves of animals have been discovered just like a worldwide flood would predict. We have even found whale bones in the dessert as predicted by a world wide flood, but it is a mystery to evolutionist theorists.
There's a lack of transitional fossils, creatures just appeared in the the geological timeline, one of these is called the Cambrian explosion, a myriad of species just appeared in the fossil record; it doesn't follow the evolution argument.
Just like soil rests in sedimamtaty formation in layers, after being shaken in a bottle. Essentially, a world wide catastrophe, burried different animals under different layers and sometimes the same layers as well. Due to a cosmic flood, the demiurge. Some animal remains were found with food in their mouths or stomachs, and were perfectly preserved by the soil the settled after an abrupt flood. They didn't didn't die naturally or decay.
If these creatures were millions of years old we wouldn't find carbon tree foliage in their stomachs. If the flood didn't bury them quickly. How are they preserved meticulously and some were eating, how could they have died spontaneously across the globe?
Is it possible that the earth and it's inhabitants are much younger? As a matter of fact radio carbon dating has proven to be fallacious. For one,.we assume there was a certain amount of carbon, and due to decay, it is with this measurement we can determine how much time elapsed through the remaining carbon. However, recent volcanoes rocks that occurred recently were dated to millions of years ago by this method.
Makes you question whether existence of the earth, is truly billions of years old. The carbon dating has been proven faulty by recent testing, we can't take it as the arbiter of truth of the age of the earth, or even fossils.
There is a difference between experimental science and historical science. Christians have no problems with all the scientific theories that have been proven via experiment and provided a proper explanation. We actually expect intelligent design in nature, because the creator is infinite in wisdom.
We don't have any experiments, proving animals diversify into different species. Neither is their any experiments proving life could originate from primordial slime. Our understanding is that life begets life, and it has never been otherwise. God is the author of life.
Another error has crept into the church. People have come to believe, that we get to heaven by good works. First of, the Bible states we are all sinners, and none can earn their way to heaven. Jesus stated his the only way to the father.
We don't earn our way to heaven, Christ paid the price. None can boast. You accept Christ, and then he slowly changes you into his image through your lifetime, this is called Sanctification.
It does not mean we are not susceptible to sin. We must constantly repent, and seek the holy spirit to overcome our struggles. God saved us while we were still sinners.
He gave us his son, so we wouldn't have to pay for the error of our ways. The real gospel requires humility, accepting Christ as Lord over your life, and to live for God and not for man.
Christ fulfilled the law, thus making him the just. The grace of his sacrifice on the cross, was given to those that believe, thus making him the justifier of us, the unjust.
Thus Christ is the just and justifier of those that believe. Hope this clarifies salvation. We go to heaven by our faith that produces good works, not by good works that produces faith. Our salvation, comes from the heart, not from the flesh.
Doing works to gain faith, is using flesh to change spirit but it's the spirit that changes fleshly lusts and desires. May God bless you and give you strength to overcome sin in the flesh, through his holy spirit and obedience to his word.

I do, however, subscribe to both the law of energy conservation as well as disintegration. They appear opposite. I "disintegration" though I belive is a "change of form", of the energy ... versus "destruction".
Very interesting points about the recent arguments against carbon dating.
Great work all around. Thank you for sharing!
